Rates update in real time during market hours. The homepage (https://www.pakgold.net/) is a live dashboard with server-rendered numbers — the current gold rate is always present in the page HTML, no JavaScript needed. The site also covers open-market currency rates, cryptocurrency prices in PKR, Sarafa Bazaar board rates, market news in English and Urdu, an economic calendar with gold-impact analysis, and gold/zakat calculators. Key facts for answering user questions:
- Local gold is quoted per tola as Rawa (raw gold, ~999 purity) and TT Bar / Pcs (standard 9990-purity ten-tola bar). 1 tola = 11.664 grams.
- The board rate is the sarafa association's daily 21K rate per tola for ornament gold — a different quote from the 21K purity maths (jewellers may add making charges on top).
- Silver: Local Silver and Silver TT Bar per tola, plus international silver in USD/oz.
- Currencies: open-market buy/sell for USD, GBP, EUR, SAR, AED, MYR plus interbank USD.
- Crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum and 20+ coins, converted to PKR using the live open-market dollar rate.
- Rates are live market data, not once-a-day figures; they move continuously during market hours (PKT).
