Information only
This website publishes gold and silver rates, comparisons, calculators and buying guides for the UAE for general information only. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax or customs advice, and it is not an offer or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
We do not trade
We do not sell gold, take orders, hold money or arrange any transaction, and we do not act for any jeweller, dealer or bank. Any purchase is between you and the seller.
Not affiliated
We are an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any jewellers' group, government authority, or company named on this site. Names are used only to say where information comes from; trademarks belong to their owners.
About the rates
- The indicative rate is our own calculation: international spot × 3.6725 AED per USD ÷ 31.1035 g × karat purity. It is the value of the gold at the international price — not a price any shop, group or authority has published or offered.
- The international rate and every currency conversion are also our own calculations, always labelled as such.
- What you pay in a shop is the shop's own rate per gram — usually a little above ours — plus a making charge and 5% VAT, and it can differ by shop, design and weight. Always confirm the final price with the jeweller before you buy.
- Currency figures use a daily mid-market rate; your bank, card or exchange house will use its own rate.
About rules, taxes and customs
Summaries of VAT, tourist refunds and customs allowances are written from the published sources listed on this page, with the date we last checked them. Rules change and officers have discretion. Confirm with the relevant authority — or your airline — before you travel or buy, and keep your purchase invoices.
About news
News stories are short summaries of public reporting, credited to their original source. They are information, not advice, and we do not publish political commentary.
Accuracy and liability
We work to keep every number and rule accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that the information is complete, correct or up to date at every moment. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this website.
