Palm Oil Hits 15-Week High on Strong Crude Prices, Eyes Third Weekly Gain

Malaysian palm oil futures reached a 15-week high, driven by robust crude oil prices and a rebound in Dalian's palm olein futures. The benchmark contract rose 0.87% to 4,751 ringgit per metric ton, extending its weekly gain to 3.35%. Brent crude prices remained above $100 per barrel, heading for their fourth week of gains, making palm oil more appealing for biodiesel. This sustained strength in crude oil could fuel global inflation concerns, potentially increasing gold's appeal as a hedge in Pakistan.
