GPCCI, PRGMEA Sign MoU to Boost Pakistan-Germany Garment Trade

The German-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) and the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Sialkot to significantly boost readymade garment trade with Germany. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal urged exporters to adopt modern technology and shift to high-value, internationally recognised brands to enhance foreign exchange earnings. German Ambassador Ina Lepel highlighted the continuing importance of the GSP+ scheme for Pakistan-Germany economic relations. This agreement, while positive for Pakistan's long-term economic stability and forex reserves, is expected to have a gradual rather than immediate impact on gold or USD/PKR rates.
