Pakistan Adjusts Fuel Prices Daily; Petrol Down, Diesel Up from July 21, 2026

The federal government has implemented a daily petroleum pricing mechanism, with revised rates taking effect from July 21, 2026, to better reflect international oil market changes. Under this new framework, petrol prices were marginally cut by Re0.35 to Rs315.80 per litre, while high-speed diesel saw a significant increase of Rs5.71, reaching Rs360.06 per litre. This shift from weekly reviews aims to align domestic fuel costs with global crude oil fluctuations. Such adjustments in key commodity prices can influence Pakistan's inflation outlook and potentially impact the USD/PKR exchange rate.
