Oil Eases on US-Iran Mediation Hopes, PSX Gains

Global crude oil prices eased on Tuesday, with Brent futures down 0.9% to $88.44 per barrel and US WTI falling 0.9% to $82.50. This softening was attributed to renewed mediation efforts between the US and Iran, despite ongoing geopolitical tensions. The Pakistan Stock Exchange reacted positively, gaining over 1,200 points intraday as oil retreated from a one-month high. Lower crude oil prices could alleviate Pakistan's import costs and inflationary pressures, potentially offering support to the Pakistani Rupee and impacting local gold prices.
