Copper Hits One-Month High; Iran Peace Hopes Push Down Oil Prices

Benchmark three-month copper on the LME gained 1.7% to $13,851 a metric ton, reaching its strongest since June 15, driven by tightening Chinese markets and robust physical demand. Inventories in SHFE-monitored warehouses have tumbled 82% since early May, further supporting prices. Industrial metals also found support from renewed efforts for a Middle East ceasefire, which simultaneously pushed down crude oil prices. For Pakistani investors, lower international oil prices could potentially ease imported inflation pressures, indirectly influencing the State Bank's monetary policy and the rupee's stability.
