PM Shehbaz Aims to Halve Pakistan's Population Growth Rate by 2035

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has identified rapid population growth as Pakistan's biggest challenge, announcing a National Stabilization Plan 2026–2035. The plan aims to reduce the current population growth rate from 2.55% to 1.25% by 2035, linking population planning to national progress and economic stability. This comprehensive strategy will focus on healthcare, education, and increasing women's participation in the labor force. Such long-term economic planning, if successful, could contribute to greater national stability, potentially strengthening the PKR and influencing local gold prices over time.
