The Pakistani rupee recorded a marginal gain of Re0.01 against the US dollar, closing at 277.90 on Thursday, following its previous close of 277.91. Globally, the US dollar largely stabilised, with the dollar index easing 0.06% to 101.05, as renewed US-Iran tensions kept investors cautious. These tensions also drove crude oil prices up by over 1.5% to a six-week high, with Brent crude reaching $96. This combination of a slightly stronger rupee, a stable dollar, and rising oil prices could influence local gold prices and currency market dynamics in Pakistan.
