The Ministry of Energy announced a petrol price increase from Rs380.24 to Rs384.34 per litre and high-speed diesel from Rs409.42 to Rs415.83 per litre. This marks the seventh consecutive hike, with petrol up Rs41.55 and HSD up Rs45.42 since September 1. Such persistent fuel price increases are likely to fuel domestic inflation, potentially pressuring the Rupee against the Dollar and influencing local gold demand.

وزارت توانائی نے پیٹرول کی قیمت 380.24 روپے سے بڑھا کر 384.34 روپے فی لیٹر اور ہائی سپیڈ ڈیزل کی قیمت 409.42 روپے سے بڑھا کر 415.83 روپے فی لیٹر کر دی۔ یہ یکم ستمبر سے پیٹرول میں 41.55 روپے اور ڈیزل میں 45.42 روپے کے اضافے کے ساتھ مسلسل ساتواں اضافہ ہے۔ ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں مسلسل اضافہ مقامی مہنگائی کو بڑھا سکتا ہے، جس سے ڈالر کے مقابلے میں روپے پر دباؤ پڑ سکتا ہے اور مقامی سونے کی طلب متاثر ہو سکتی ہے۔
