Ship-to-Ship Oil Transfers Surge Off India's West Coast
Ship-to-ship (STS) oil transfers are rapidly expanding into India's Gulf of Kutch as congestion outside the Strait of Hormuz increases. In September, 82 cargoes, equating to approximately 680,000 barrels per day, were transferred onto larger vessels in this new hub, according to Vortexa data cited by The National. This logistical shift ensures the continued flow of oil from Gulf producers.
