Impact on Gold Dollar Steady Ahead of Fed Decision Amid Middle East Tensions
The US dollar remained firm near a one-month high as markets anticipated the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, with a 33% chance of a 25-basis-point hike priced in. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East also supported the dollar and pushed oil prices higher after the US military intercepted missiles. Analysts expect the Fed's messaging to be hawkish, even if rates remain on hold. A stronger dollar and hawkish Fed guidance could put downward pressure on international gold prices and potentially impact the USD/PKR rate in Pakistan.
