Pakistani Rupee Gains Marginally Against US Dollar; Oil Prices Rise
The Pakistani rupee extended marginal gains, appreciating 0.01% against the US dollar to close at 277.82 on Wednesday, up Re0.03 from Tuesday's 277.85. Meanwhile, the US dollar held near a one-month high amid Middle East tensions and ahead of a key Federal Reserve interest rate decision. Crude oil prices also rose significantly, with Brent futures increasing by $3.15 (3.8%) to $87.24 a barrel. These currency and oil movements could influence local gold prices and the broader economic outlook in Pakistan.
