Impact on Gold Rupee Gains Marginally Against Dollar; Global Dollar Steadies After Fed Holds Rates
The Pakistani rupee registered a marginal gain against the US dollar, closing at 277.81, up Re0.01 from Wednesday's 277.82. Globally, the US dollar found its footing, with the dollar index nudging up 0.1% to 100.89 after the Federal Reserve kept policy rates on hold and geopolitical developments. Oil prices, however, slipped with Brent futures falling 1.06% to $89.78 a barrel. This mixed global picture, with a stable dollar and falling oil, could offer some stability to the PKR but might limit upward movement for local gold prices.
