Govt Targets 6% Export-Led Growth, $100 Billion Exports by 2035; PSDP Spending Up
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal stated the government aims for 6% export-led sustainable economic growth and $100 billion in exports by 2035, diversifying products and markets. Actual PSDP expenditure reached Rs916.02bn in FY26, 20% higher than revised allocations, partly due to over Rs125bn diverted to fuel subsidies following the US-Iran war. The government is collaborating with industry and SBP to transform top export clusters and promote non-traditional sectors. Sustained export growth and economic stability could strengthen the PKR against the USD, potentially influencing local gold prices.

وزیر منصوبہ بندی احسن اقبال نے کہا کہ حکومت 6 فیصد برآمدی ترقی اور 2035 تک 100 ارب ڈالر کی برآمدات کا ہدف رکھتی ہے، جس کے لیے مصنوعات اور منڈیوں کو متنوع بنایا جائے گا۔ مالی سال 2026 میں PSDP کے اصل اخراجات 916.02 ارب روپے رہے، جو نظرثانی شدہ مختص رقم سے 20 فیصد زیادہ تھے، جس کی ایک وجہ امریکہ-ایران جنگ کے بعد ایندھن کی سبسڈی پر 125 ارب روپے سے زائد کی منتقلی ہے۔ حکومت برآمدی شعبوں کو عالمی سطح پر مسابقتی بنانے اور غیر روایتی صنعتوں کو فروغ دینے کے لیے صنعت اور اسٹیٹ بینک کے ساتھ مل کر کام کر رہی ہے۔ پائیدار برآمدی ترقی اور معاشی استحکام سے پاکستانی روپے کی قدر ڈالر کے مقابلے میں مضبوط ہو سکتی ہے، جو مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں کو متاثر کر سکتا ہے۔
