FBR Forms Committees to Expedite Tax Litigation Resolution

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has constituted three Independent Case Scrutiny Committees (ICSCs) under relevant tax laws to address frivolous litigation with taxpayers. These committees, covering Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi jurisdictions, will examine tax cases and recommend actions for appeals before superior courts. Chaired by former justices, they aim to promote consistency in decisions and identify systemic issues for policy intervention.
