کراچی میں ماہی گیری کا نیا سیزن شدید دباؤ میں شروع ہوا ہے، جہاں ڈیزل اور بجلی کے بڑھتے ہوئے نرخوں کی وجہ سے گہرے سمندر میں ماہی گیری کے ماہانہ اخراجات 80 لاکھ روپے تک پہنچ گئے ہیں۔ صنعت کے رہنماؤں نے شعبے کی جدوجہد، سرمایہ کاروں کے اعتماد میں کمی اور حکومتی امداد کی عدم موجودگی سے خبردار کیا ہے۔ مالی سال 2025-26 میں برآمدی حجم میں 1 فیصد کمی آئی، جبکہ جون 2026 میں مچھلی کی برآمدات میں نمایاں گراوٹ دیکھی گئی۔ توانائی کی بڑھتی ہوئی لاگت سے جاری معاشی دباؤ پاکستانی روپے پر اثر انداز ہو سکتا ہے اور بالواسطہ طور پر مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں کو متاثر کر سکتا ہے۔
