Chicago Wheat Rises on Black Sea Attacks, Weak Dollar
Chicago wheat futures rose 1.7% to $6.50-3/4 a bushel, supported by ongoing Russian and Ukrainian attacks on Black Sea export operations. Corn and soybean futures also edged higher, while a weakening US dollar near two-month lows made US agricultural exports more competitive. This geopolitical tension and potential for global food inflation, combined with a softer dollar, could offer some indirect support to gold prices and potentially influence the USD/PKR rate.
