PPL Discovers Gas & Condensate in Sindh, Boosts Energy Outlook
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), operator of the Sirani Exploration License, found gas and condensate at its Dolphin X-1 well in Sujawal, Sindh. The well tested gas at 0.942 Million Standard Cubic Feet Per Day (MMscfd) and initially surfaced condensate at 94 barrels per day (bpd), proving a new petroleum system. This discovery could reduce Pakistan's energy import reliance, offering long-term support for the rupee and easing inflationary pressures.
