Rupee Gains Marginally Against Dollar, Greenback Weakens Globally
The Pakistani rupee gained Re0.01 against the US dollar on Friday, closing at 277.56, extending its marginal appreciation. This occurred as the US dollar was on shaky ground, set for a weekly loss against a basket of currencies, with the DXY languishing near a three-month low. Concurrently, oil prices fell slightly, though they remained on track for a second weekly rise. A stronger rupee and a weaker global dollar could ease import costs, potentially influencing local gold and silver prices.
