Iran Condemns New US Sanctions Amid Hormuz Oil Standoff
Iran on Saturday condemned impending new US sanctions, with its Foreign Ministry spokesperson calling them an "assertion of extraterritorial sovereignty" and the armed forces chief promising "crushing responses" to enemy threats. The US Treasury Secretary is set to announce "the toughest sanctions in history" on Monday, targeting Iran's economy and its trading partners like China.
