Indian Rupee Stable Amid Inflows; US Dollar Weakens on Iran Sanctions, Treasury Moves
The Indian rupee is expected to maintain a narrow range around 95.70-95.75 against the dollar, supported by central bank intervention and over $2.5 billion in August portfolio inflows. Meanwhile, the US dollar faced pressure from expanded Iran sanctions and reports of potential US Treasury buybacks to ease borrowing costs. Persistently elevated oil prices continue to pose a challenge to regional currencies.
