Pakistan Hikes Petrol, Diesel Prices by Over Rs1 Amid Daily Revisions
The government has raised petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices, with petrol now at Rs343.10 per litre and HSD at Rs371.80 per litre, effective for August 26-27. This adjustment includes significant taxes and duties, with Rs114/litre on petrol and Rs100/litre on diesel. The Petroleum Minister announced daily price revisions due to international market fluctuations and renewed US-Iran hostilities. These increases will add to inflationary pressures, potentially influencing the Pakistani Rupee's stability and future SBP monetary policy decisions.

حکومت نے پیٹرول کی قیمت 1.12 روپے بڑھا کر 343.10 روپے فی لیٹر اور ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل (HSD) کی قیمت 1.11 روپے بڑھا کر 371.80 روپے فی لیٹر کر دی ہے، جو 26 اور 27 اگست کے لیے لاگو ہوں گی۔ ان قیمتوں میں پیٹرول پر 114 روپے اور ڈیزل پر 100 روپے فی لیٹر کے بھاری ٹیکس اور ڈیوٹیز شامل ہیں۔ وزیر پیٹرولیم نے بین الاقوامی مارکیٹ میں اتار چڑھاؤ اور امریکہ-ایران کشیدگی کے باعث یومیہ قیمتوں پر نظر ثانی کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ یہ اضافہ مہنگائی میں مزید اضافہ کرے گا، جس سے پاکستانی روپے کے استحکام اور اسٹیٹ بینک کی آئندہ مانیٹری پالیسی پر ممکنہ طور پر اثر پڑے گا۔
