Pakistan's Rs6 Trillion Waste: Senate Panel Alleges Devolution Failure Cost
A Senate subcommittee accuses Pakistan's federal government of wasting Rs5-6 trillion annually by unlawfully retaining ministries and functions that should have been devolved to provinces under the 18th Amendment. سینیٹ کی ذیلی کمیٹی نے الزام لگایا ہے کہ وفاقی حکومت 18ویں آئینی ترمیم کے تحت صوبوں کو منتقل ہونے والے وزارتوں اور محکموں کو غیر قانونی طور پر اپنے پاس رکھ کر سالانہ 5-6 کھرب روپے ضائع کر رہی ہے۔ یہ مبینہ ساختی ناکامی، جو 19 کھرب روپے کے وفاقی بجٹ کا ایک بڑا حصہ ہے، ملک کے مالیاتی خسارے اور بیرونی قرضوں پر انحصار میں اضافہ کر رہی ہے۔ کمیٹی نے صحت اور تعلیم سمیت 25 وزارتوں کی نشاندہی کی ہے جو 2011 کی ڈیولوشن کی آخری تاریخ کے باوجود اب بھی وفاقی کنٹرول میں ہیں۔ اس طرح کی بڑے پیمانے پر غیر موثریت پاکستانی روپے پر دباؤ ڈال سکتی ہے اور سونے میں سرمایہ کاری کے رجحان کو متاثر کر سکتی ہے۔
