Govt Launches Export Rebate Scheme to Boost Overseas Sales
The PRIE scheme incentivises exporters with a 1% rebate for up to 10% annual export growth and 2% for over 10% growth, paid in PKR on incremental proceeds. All goods and services exporters are eligible, with quarterly provisional payments subject to annual adjustment and potential recovery if growth targets are not met. This initiative aims to expand overseas sales and improve the country's trade balance. A successful boost in exports could strengthen Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves, potentially supporting the PKR against the USD and influencing local gold prices over time.

PRIE اسکیم برآمد کنندگان کو سالانہ 10 فیصد تک اضافے پر 1 فیصد اور اس سے زیادہ اضافے پر 2 فیصد ریبیٹ فراہم کرے گی، جو پاکستانی روپے میں ادا کی جائے گی۔ تمام اشیا اور خدمات کے برآمد کنندگان اس کے اہل ہوں گے، جس میں سہ ماہی عارضی ادائیگیاں سالانہ ایڈجسٹمنٹ سے مشروط ہوں گی اور ہدف پورا نہ ہونے پر رقم واپس لی جا سکتی ہے۔ اس اقدام کا مقصد بیرون ملک فروخت کو بڑھانا اور ملک کے تجارتی توازن کو بہتر بنانا ہے۔ برآمدات میں کامیاب اضافہ پاکستان کے زرمبادلہ کے ذخائر کو مضبوط کر سکتا ہے، جو ممکنہ طور پر امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں روپے کو سہارا دے گا اور وقت کے ساتھ مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں کو متاثر کرے گا۔
