SBP Explores Tokenised Bonds for Expats to Boost Diaspora Access
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), in collaboration with PVARA, is actively exploring the introduction of tokenised bonds designed specifically for expatriate Pakistanis. This initiative aims to create digitally native sovereign notes, improving the diaspora's access to investment avenues within the country. The move is intended to attract foreign currency inflows and leverage the financial potential of overseas Pakistanis. If implemented, such a scheme could bolster Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves, potentially strengthening the Rupee against the US Dollar and influencing local gold prices.

اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان (ایس بی پی) پیوارا کے ساتھ مل کر بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کے لیے خصوصی طور پر ڈیزائن کردہ ٹوکنائزڈ بانڈز متعارف کرانے پر غور کر رہا ہے۔ اس اقدام کا مقصد ڈیجیٹل خودمختار نوٹ تیار کرنا ہے تاکہ تارکین وطن کی ملک میں سرمایہ کاری کے مواقع تک رسائی کو بہتر بنایا جا سکے۔ اس اقدام کا مقصد غیر ملکی کرنسی کی آمد کو راغب کرنا اور بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کی مالی صلاحیت سے فائدہ اٹھانا ہے۔ اگر یہ اسکیم نافذ ہوتی ہے تو یہ پاکستان کے غیر ملکی زرمبادلہ کے ذخائر کو مضبوط کر سکتی ہے، ممکنہ طور پر روپے کو امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں مضبوط کر سکتی ہے اور مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں پر اثر انداز ہو سکتی ہے۔
