U.S. Crude Stocks Up Slightly, Gasoline Inventories Fall
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported that crude oil inventories increased by 100,000 barrels to 428.9 million barrels for the week ending August 21, now 1% above the five-year average. This follows an earlier API report of a 4.2 million barrel rise. Meanwhile, gasoline inventories saw a decline. This mixed inventory data could lead to minor fluctuations in global crude oil prices, potentially influencing Pakistan's import costs and indirectly affecting the rupee's stability.

امریکی انرجی انفارمیشن ایڈمنسٹریشن (EIA) نے رپورٹ کیا ہے کہ 21 اگست کو ختم ہونے والے ہفتے میں خام تیل کے ذخائر 100,000 بیرل بڑھ کر 428.9 ملین بیرل ہو گئے ہیں، جو پانچ سال کی اوسط سے 1% زیادہ ہیں۔ یہ API کی سابقہ رپورٹ کے بعد ہے جس میں 4.2 ملین بیرل کے اضافے کا ذکر تھا۔ اسی دوران، گیسولین کے ذخائر میں کمی دیکھی گئی۔ ذخائر کے ان ملے جلے اعداد و شمار سے عالمی خام تیل کی قیمتوں میں معمولی اتار چڑھاؤ آ سکتا ہے، جو پاکستان کی درآمدی لاگت اور بالواسطہ طور پر روپے کی استحکام کو متاثر کر سکتا ہے۔
