SBP Reports 20% Profit Decline in FY26

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported a 20% decline in its net profit for fiscal year 2026, falling to Rs1.99 trillion from Rs2.499 trillion in FY25. This Rs506 billion reduction was mainly attributed to lower earnings on financial assets. A surplus profit of Rs1.932 trillion was remitted to the Federal Government.
