EXIM Bank, LCCI Boost Export Support for Pakistani SMEs

Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has pledged full support to EXIM Bank of Pakistan and ICIEC to boost export promotion and facilitate the business community, especially SMEs. EXIM Bank President Shahbaz Hussain Syed highlighted a new Rs 3 billion fund with the Export Development Fund to provide credit insurance support to exporters with international orders, addressing collateral and documentation issues. The bank also signed an agreement with AutoSoft for digital platform development to expand services. While positive for long-term economic stability, this initiative is unlikely to have an immediate, direct impact on gold or currency rates.
