Pakistan's SBP Forex Reserves Rise $19m to $17.12bn
The State Bank of Pakistan reported its foreign exchange reserves rose by $19 million to $17.12 billion for the week ending August 28, 2026. Total liquid foreign exchange reserves for the country stood at $22.53 billion, with commercial banks holding $5.41 billion. This modest increase in SBP-held reserves could offer minor support to the Pakistani Rupee, potentially influencing local gold prices and the USD/PKR exchange rate.

اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان نے بتایا کہ 28 اگست 2026 کو ختم ہونے والے ہفتے میں اس کے زرمبادلہ ذخائر 19 ملین ڈالر بڑھ کر 17.12 ارب ڈالر ہو گئے۔ ملک کے مجموعی مائع زرمبادلہ ذخائر 22.53 ارب ڈالر تھے، جن میں سے کمرشل بینکوں کے پاس 5.41 ارب ڈالر تھے۔ اسٹیٹ بینک کے ذخائر میں یہ معمولی اضافہ پاکستانی روپے کو معمولی سہارا دے سکتا ہے، جس سے مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں اور امریکی ڈالر/پاکستانی روپے کی شرح تبادلہ پر اثر پڑ سکتا ہے۔
