Pakistan Reaffirms PPPs, Privatisation to Drive Economic Growth
At a strategic dialogue, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and PM's Adviser Muhammad Ali emphasized PPPs and privatisation as key instruments for economic transformation, aiming to build a strong pipeline of investable opportunities. Pakistan has a $36 billion PPP track record and a current $6.5 billion federal pipeline, alongside a 27-transaction privatisation program. ADB welcomed these efforts, highlighting the necessity of mobilising private capital for infrastructure and services. Successful implementation of these policies could improve Pakistan's economic outlook, potentially strengthening the PKR against the USD and influencing local gold prices.

ایک قومی مکالمے میں وزیر خزانہ محمد اورنگزیب اور مشیر نجکاری محمد علی نے PPPs اور نجکاری کو اقتصادی تبدیلی کے اہم آلات قرار دیا۔ پاکستان کا PPPs میں 36 ارب ڈالر کا ٹریک ریکارڈ ہے اور 6.5 ارب ڈالر کے منصوبوں کی پائپ لائن موجود ہے، جبکہ 27 نجکاری کے منصوبے بھی زیر غور ہیں۔ ایشیائی ترقیاتی بینک (ADB) نے بھی ان کوششوں کا خیرمقدم کیا۔ ان پالیسیوں کی کامیاب عمل درآمد پاکستان کی معیشت کو مستحکم کر سکتا ہے، جس سے PKR کی قدر پر مثبت اثر پڑ سکتا ہے اور مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں کو متاثر کر سکتا ہے۔
