Pakistan to Unveil New Auto Policy Soon, Focus on Exports and Investment
Adviser to PM Haroon Akhtar Khan stated a new auto policy will be unveiled shortly, designed to incentivize stakeholders and enhance auto part exports. Speaking at the Pakistan International Auto Show 2026 in Lahore, he emphasized the government's commitment to transforming Pakistan into a competitive manufacturing economy by empowering MSMEs. The policy seeks to strengthen industrial value chains, attracting investment and promoting local manufacturing. Such initiatives, by fostering economic growth and boosting exports, could contribute to the stability of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar in the long term.

وزیراعظم کے مشیر ہارون اختر خان نے اعلان کیا ہے کہ وفاقی حکومت جلد ہی نئی آٹو پالیسی متعارف کرائے گی۔ لاہور میں پاکستان انٹرنیشنل آٹو شو 2026 کے افتتاحی دن میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے، انہوں نے کہا کہ پالیسی کا مقصد تمام اسٹیک ہولڈرز، بشمول آٹو پارٹس بنانے والوں کو مراعات دینا اور برآمدات کو فروغ دینا ہے۔ حکومت پاکستان کو MSMEs کو بااختیار بنا کر ایک مسابقتی مینوفیکچرنگ معیشت میں تبدیل کرنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔ ایسی پالیسیاں جو معاشی ترقی اور برآمدات کو فروغ دیتی ہیں، طویل مدت میں پاکستانی روپے کی امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں استحکام میں معاون ثابت ہو سکتی ہیں۔
