SIFC Develops $40 Billion Investment Pipeline for Pakistan
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) announced a $40 billion investment pipeline covering industry, oil & gas, infrastructure, and more, targeting stalled projects with UAE and GCC partners. This was revealed by SIFC Secretary Jamil Qureshi to the National Assembly Standing Committee. The committee also reviewed major projects like the ML-1 railway (revised cost $6.68-6.80bn) and K-IV water supply. Significant foreign investment inflows could bolster Pakistan's economic stability, potentially strengthening the PKR against the USD and influencing local gold prices.
