SBP Foreign Reserves Edge Up by $11M to $21.4 Billion

The State Bank of Pakistan reported a slight rise in its foreign exchange reserves, which increased by $11 million to $21.4 billion for the week ending September 18, 2026. Total liquid foreign reserves for the country stood at $26.81 billion, with commercial banks holding $5.41 billion. This minor uptick in SBP reserves indicates a stable but not significantly improving external account position, which may offer slight, short-term stability to the PKR against the USD.
