SIFC Eyes $40 Billion Investment in 38 Projects Across Key Sectors
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) informed the Senate that 38 projects across diverse sectors, including mining, industry, IT, and power, are expected to draw approximately $40 billion in foreign investment. Efforts include streamlining regulatory procedures, improving visa facilitation, and approving a Brownfield Refinery Policy with $6 billion proposed investment. Engagements with Chinese, Qatari, and Kuwaiti investors are underway to enhance foreign capital inflows. This significant investment outlook could strengthen the Pakistani Rupee by improving foreign exchange reserves and investor confidence, potentially influencing local gold prices.
