Pakistan Govt, Oil Tankers Agree Committee on Fuel Supply Issues
The federal government and the Oil Tankers Contractors Association (OTCA) have agreed to form a committee within two weeks to address key demands. Issues include the White Oil Pipeline quota, freight contract transparency, and linking freight formulas to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik stressed the importance of uninterrupted fuel supplies. This resolution aims to prevent potential fuel supply disruptions and manage inflationary pressures, which could support PKR stability and indirectly influence local gold demand.

وفاقی حکومت اور آئل ٹینکرز کنٹریکٹرز ایسوسی ایشن (OTCA) نے دو ہفتوں میں ایک کمیٹی تشکیل دینے پر اتفاق کیا ہے تاکہ اہم مطالبات پر غور کیا جا سکے۔ ان مطالبات میں وائٹ آئل پائپ لائن کوٹہ، مال برداری کے معاہدوں میں شفافیت اور مال برداری کے فارمولے کو کنزیومر پرائس انڈیکس (CPI) سے منسلک کرنا شامل ہیں۔ وزیر پٹرولیم علی پرویز ملک نے ایندھن کی بلا تعطل فراہمی کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔ یہ پیش رفت ایندھن کی ممکنہ قلت کو روکنے اور مہنگائی کے دباؤ کو کم کرنے میں مدد دے سکتی ہے، جس سے روپے کی قدر مستحکم ہو سکتی ہے اور بالواسطہ طور پر مقامی سونے کی طلب متاثر ہو سکتی ہے۔
