Oil pares losses as Houthis attack Saudi Aramco refinery
Brent futures pared losses to $88.24 a barrel (down 0.8%) and WTI crude to $82.56 (down 0.8%) after earlier drops exceeding 3%. This recovery followed reports of a Houthi drone attack on Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery, which has a 250,000 bpd capacity. The incident reignited fears of supply disruptions in a tight global market, offsetting concerns over weaker demand and rising US crude stocks. Such geopolitical tensions often boost safe-haven demand for gold and could pressure Pakistan's import costs, potentially affecting USD/PKR.
