Pakistan Hikes Petrol, Diesel Prices Amid Global Oil Volatility
The government has raised petrol prices by Rs1.09 to Rs336.15 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs2.42 to Rs393.04 per litre, effective July 31. This adjustment reflects the impact of fluctuating global oil prices following renewed hostilities in the Persian Gulf. Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik announced daily fuel price revisions going forward. This move could fuel domestic inflation, potentially influencing the USD/PKR exchange rate and indirectly impacting local gold and silver prices.

حکومت نے پیٹرول کی قیمت 1.09 روپے بڑھا کر 336.15 روپے فی لیٹر اور ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل (HSD) کی قیمت 2.42 روپے بڑھا کر 393.04 روپے فی لیٹر کر دی ہے، جو 31 جولائی سے نافذ العمل ہو گی۔ یہ ایڈجسٹمنٹ خلیج فارس میں دوبارہ کشیدگی کے بعد عالمی تیل کی قیمتوں میں اتار چڑھاؤ کا نتیجہ ہے۔ وزیر پیٹرولیم علی پرویز ملک نے آئندہ سے روزانہ کی بنیاد پر ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں نظرثانی کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ اس اقدام سے ملکی مہنگائی میں اضافہ ہو سکتا ہے، جو ممکنہ طور پر USD/PKR کی شرح تبادلہ اور بالواسطہ طور پر مقامی سونے اور چاندی کی قیمتوں کو متاثر کر سکتا ہے۔
