Indonesia, KATI Push for Stronger, Diversified Pakistan Trade Links

Indonesia's Consul General Mudzakir met with Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) in Karachi, advocating for stronger industrial linkages and diversified trade to move beyond the current $4.26 billion bilateral trade. Discussions focused on making Indonesia a key supply-chain partner and expanding opportunities for Pakistani products in the Indonesian market. The goal is a more balanced relationship through increased Pakistani exports, investment, and joint ventures, with KATI members invited to Trade Expo Indonesia 2026. This initiative, if successful, could contribute to Pakistan's economic stability and potentially ease pressure on the PKR in the long term.
