Pakistan Industry Warns Fuel Pricing Hurting Exports, Economy
Abdul Rehman Fudda, President of the SITE Association of Industry, stated that Pakistan's industrial and export sectors are severely impacted by the government's frequent fuel price revisions, leading to soaring transportation costs and disrupted supplies. He urged the government to abandon the daily pricing policy, reduce taxes on petroleum products, and review prices every 15 days to restore predictability. This ongoing uncertainty and rising operational costs could further fuel domestic inflation and pressure the Pakistani Rupee, potentially increasing demand for gold as a hedge.

سائٹ ایسوسی ایشن آف انڈسٹری کے صدر عبدالرحمن فودا نے کہا ہے کہ حکومت کی جانب سے ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں روزانہ یا ہر دوسرے دن تبدیلی سے پاکستان کی صنعتی اور برآمدی شعبے کو شدید بحران کا سامنا ہے۔ انہوں نے حکومت سے مطالبہ کیا کہ روزانہ قیمتوں میں تبدیلی کی پالیسی واپس لی جائے، پٹرولیم مصنوعات پر ٹیکس کم کیے جائیں اور قیمتوں کا جائزہ کم از کم 15 دن کے وقفے سے لیا جائے۔ یہ غیر یقینی صورتحال اور بڑھتے ہوئے اخراجات ملکی افراط زر کو مزید بڑھا سکتے ہیں اور پاکستانی روپے پر دباؤ ڈال سکتے ہیں، جس سے سونے کی طلب میں اضافہ ہو سکتا ہے۔
