Gulf Oil Exports Rebound; Goldman Sachs Sees Price Cap Despite Iran War

Friday, 28 August 2026 · 02:38 PM PKT · PakGold News Desk · 👁 11

Oil volumes from the Persian Gulf have rebounded to approximately two-thirds of pre-Iran war levels, with 15-16 million barrels per day now leaving the Middle East. This recovery, about 5-6 million bpd above the March trough, suggests that increased supply could cap crude oil prices even if the Middle East conflict persists, according to Goldman Sachs analysts. This development could ease global inflationary pressures, potentially reducing the appeal of gold as an inflation hedge and offering some stability to the Pakistani Rupee by lowering import costs.
