Ahsan Iqbal Targets USD1 Trillion Economy for Pakistan by 2035

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal stated Pakistan aims for a USD 1 trillion economy by 2035, focusing on converting macroeconomic stability into sustained growth, higher productivity, and increased exports. Addressing Harvard Business School students, he highlighted the "URAAN Pakistan" framework, built around 5Es: Exports, Enterprise & Employment; E-Pakistan; Environment; Energy; and Equity. The minister stressed the need to break the "boom-bust" cycle through innovation, investment, and human capital development, moving beyond mere stabilization. This long-term economic vision, if consistently pursued, could foster greater investor confidence and potentially contribute to a more stable PKR in the future.
