Pakistan Hikes Petrol by Rs2.84, Diesel by Rs2.28 Per Litre
The federal government has raised petrol prices by Rs2.84 per litre to Rs349.00 and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs2.28 per litre to Rs374.31, effective Friday, September 4. This adjustment, issued by the Ministry of Energy, follows the government's petroleum pricing mechanism based on international oil markets. The new rates will remain in effect until the next review. While a routine adjustment, these increases contribute to domestic inflation, potentially adding mild pressure on the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar.

وفاقی حکومت نے 4 ستمبر بروز جمعہ سے پیٹرول کی قیمت میں 2.84 روپے فی لیٹر کا اضافہ کرتے ہوئے اسے 349.00 روپے فی لیٹر کر دیا ہے۔ ہائی سپیڈ ڈیزل (HSD) کی قیمت میں بھی 2.28 روپے فی لیٹر کا اضافہ ہوا ہے، جس کے بعد نئی قیمت 374.31 روپے فی لیٹر ہو گئی ہے۔ وزارت توانائی کی جانب سے جاری نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق، یہ ایڈجسٹمنٹ بین الاقوامی تیل کی قیمتوں کے مطابق حکومتی پیٹرولیم پرائسنگ میکانزم کے تحت کی گئی ہے۔ اگرچہ یہ ایک معمول کی ایڈجسٹمنٹ ہے، تاہم یہ اضافہ ملکی مہنگائی میں مزید اضافہ کر سکتا ہے، جس سے پاکستانی روپے پر معمولی دباؤ پڑنے کا امکان ہے۔
