Pakistan Revises Fuel Prices: Diesel Up Rs3.47, Petrol Down Rs0.43
Effective until September 18, 2026, high-speed diesel now costs Rs424.92 per litre and petrol Rs390.79 per litre. These revisions, made under the petroleum pricing mechanism, reflect global fluctuations in Platts rates and other incidentals. Earlier, international oil prices eased about 3% to a one-week low amid reports of additional Saudi crude cargoes. While a routine adjustment, these fuel price changes contribute to Pakistan's inflationary outlook, potentially influencing the PKR's stability against the USD.
