These revisions, effective September 18, are attributed to fluctuations in international oil prices and maintain significant taxes on both fuels. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) now adjusts prices daily, a policy initiated due to renewed hostilities in the Persian Gulf. While these routine adjustments reflect global oil trends, their direct impact on gold or USD/PKR rates in Pakistan is generally limited, serving more as an indicator of underlying inflationary pressures.
