Copper, Industrial Metals Fall as Stronger Dollar Weighs
Benchmark three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange fell 0.66% to $14,651 a metric ton, pressured by a rising US dollar. A stronger dollar makes dollar-denominated commodities more expensive for international buyers, dampening demand despite strong Chinese interest. Other LME metals like aluminium, zinc, and lead also saw declines. This continued dollar strength could exert downward pressure on international gold and silver prices, potentially influencing local rates in Pakistan.

لندن میٹل ایکسچینج پر تین ماہ کے کاپر کی قیمت 0.66 فیصد کم ہو کر 14,651 ڈالر فی میٹرک ٹن ہو گئی، جس کی وجہ امریکی ڈالر کی قدر میں اضافہ ہے۔ ایک مضبوط ڈالر بین الاقوامی خریداروں کے لیے ڈالر میں قیمت والی اشیاء کو مہنگا کر دیتا ہے، جس سے چینی طلب کے باوجود مانگ متاثر ہوتی ہے۔ ایلومینیم، زنک اور لیڈ جیسی دیگر LME دھاتوں میں بھی کمی دیکھی گئی۔ ڈالر کی یہ مسلسل مضبوطی بین الاقوامی سونے اور چاندی کی قیمتوں پر مزید دباؤ ڈال سکتی ہے، جو پاکستان میں مقامی نرخوں کو بھی متاثر کر سکتی ہے۔
