US Taps Strategic Oil Reserve Again Amid High Diesel Prices, Iran War
The U.S. Department of Energy is offering another 40 million barrels from its Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to counter high fuel prices, with diesel topping $6, nearly seven months into the Iran war. This release completes the 172 million barrel emergency pledge, with the SPR holding 286.6 million barrels at August's end.
