Indian Rupee Weakens Amid High Crude, Global Bond Yields
The Indian rupee declined 1.2% in Q3, pressured by elevated crude prices and surging global bond yields, with RBI interventions preventing steeper losses. Global inflation concerns, partly from the Middle East war, also contributed to higher bond yields. These persistent global financial headwinds, particularly rising oil prices and bond yields, could continue to influence international gold prices and the USD/PKR exchange rate.
