World Bank Urges Pakistan to Implement $20bn Reform Partnership
The World Bank has called on Pakistan to expedite the implementation of policy actions under its $20 billion economic reform partnership, launched last year. This comprehensive agenda targets higher growth, revenue mobilization through tax reforms, and improved trade and investment facilitation by removing regulatory constraints. A recent meeting between the World Bank delegation and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb reviewed progress and discussed priorities across various sectors. Successful execution of these reforms could bolster Pakistan's economic stability and strengthen the PKR, potentially impacting local gold and silver prices.
