Oil Prices Climb Amid Tensions; FBR Updates IMF on Tax Scheme
Crude oil prices surged, with US crude up 1.05% to $90.38 and Brent rising 1.06% to $101.65, driven by a US storm and escalating Saudi-Houthi tensions. Domestically, the FBR informed the IMF about 1,016 returns filed under the Aasan Tax Scheme. The KSE-100 index also opened marginally higher. Rising oil costs could pressure Pakistan's import bill and the Rupee, potentially supporting local gold prices.
